Comments:

Running single band 10m at the bottom of the cycle turned out to be better than
expected. Biggest problem was the extremely high noise levels that made it
difficult to copy all weekend. Did not work any AS or EU. Did not even work a
VE, XE or zone 3! Best rate was a 46 hour in the 1700 hour Saturday, 33 in the
prior hour and all other hours were below 30/hr. I basically called CQ and
clicked on every blip on the panadapter to call the station or label it with the
call. Only one Q Friday night with a local which gave me two mults, but 2x0 was
still zero. Saturday morning the first Q was at 1501 with a CE. Had some prop to
Central and South America and Caribbean. Found VP6R at 18:59 and a KH6 at 19:17,
but no other Oceana. Last Q at 23:12 and 181 Qs in the log. On Sunday the prop
was to the East Coast, but I finally Started working SA at 14:30. 6W called me
at 14:54. He had been calling earlier, but I couldn't pull him out. Thanks for
coming back! D4 at 17:15, but no other AF than those two. First ZL called at
21:39 and then about six more. One VK called at 22:21 with a good signal, but no
others. Last Q at 23:07.
