Comments:

Aurora was already up with the 1300Z session 
and it stayed near 30 GW all through 2000Z. 
At this medium level it maybe helped somewhat 
for the USA-path during the first session... 
Checked 14 MHz first at 1900Z and heard a few 
fluttery USA-signals, hard to identify. Later 
I heard OH2BN work WC7Q (practically alone). 

Skip on 7 MHz was over 2000 km. GI/GW served, 
but all closer in pretty faint. Even 3.5 MHz 
was weak to Sweden, maybe partly due to Aurora. 

Given this winters day, I kept myself warm with 
a spell of the 7 MHz Minitest at 1700Z, working 
the crowd just once, instead of every 10 minutes.
