Strange conditions here in FN12ne.  My first contact was with WA8CXI in EM99 254
miles away with hills...lots of hills between us.  Only my second EM99
contact...ever.  It was...a very good sign.  Shortly after that, I tried to make
contact with Ron, WZ1V, who is 232 miles to my East.  I can ALWAYS work Ron
but... we tried several times but weren't able to make the contact until the
last few minutes of the Sprint.
