Comments:

I have (3) 40 meter antennas now: 
(1) DXE 30/40 vertical.  (never seemed better than the others, but only has 15
radials so far)
(2) inv vee at 70 ft (seems the best)
(3) 2 el SteppIR 18e (almost always running bidirectional, if it works)

Good start on 40, but lulls.  At 0315 42QSOs. At 0323Z 70 QSOs.  O330Z 85 QSOs

Got so slow that I went to 80.  Good activity, but I had forgotten to adjust the
length since NAQPSSB and amp kept shutting down. The AL1200 doesn't do this. 
Excellent, quick QSO with K7SS.  At 0345Z 122QSOs, but things did not click on
80.
