Comments:

I was born in Wooster, OH on July 15, 1942 in the Beeson Hospital.  My mother
was there 10 days.  The delivery room fee was $10 and the total bill was $67.32.
 

We lived in Orrville, OH.  Orrville is noted for being the home of the Smucker's
Company (With a name like Smucker's, it has to be good) and the home town of
Bobby Knight, the notorious basketball coach.

When my mother wanted to go to college, the first in her family and in the midst
of the Depression, she went to Mrs Smucker, the wife of J M Smucker, the Smucker
company founder, and asked for a loan.  Mrs Smucker loaned her tuition money to
go to Kent State University.

In 1954 we moved to IN where I got my KN9LIO license on February 3, 1958.

I have dual citizenship as a Buckeye and a Hoosier.
