Comments:
This was our first CQWW CW multi-single effort as a result of our team's
decision to downsize for better Covid-19 safety. We enjoyed the unique strategic
challenges of this category.
We improved our ham shack before the contest to provide each operator with a
safe, very well ventilated operating environment physically isolated from every
other operator.
Our daytime team was K3MM, K3RA, W3LPL and WR3Z.
Our night time team was KD4D, KL2A, N3OC and NN3W.
The sudden increase in solar cycle 25 sunspot activity made the 80, 40, 20 and
15 meters come alive with activity and improved 10 meter propagation too. We
can't wait to see what solar cycle 25 has in store for us next year.
A new triband Yagi on a 50 foot tower 1300 feet south of our transmitting
antennas dramatically improved our in-band receiving capabilities and
contributed hundreds 20 and 15 meter S&P QSOs interleaved with run QSOs.
N3QE built six new Arduino based desktop pushbutton controllers for our
8-circle receiving arrays that significantly improved the ease of sharing our
8-circle arrays between our run and S&P operators on 160, 80 and 40 meters.
