Club: Arizona Outlaws Contest Club

Comments:

I wanted to improve on my previous RU scores, but Murphy paid me a surprise
visit.  Spent first three hours of contest resolving a remote site internet
connectivity issue. Fortunately it was not complete loss of electrical power
like the previous Saturday, when 40+ MPH winds slapped two phases together. 

Once connectivity was restored, I set out to recover those three hours by
operating later Saturday night and into early Sunday morning, but run rates were
slow.  

My goals were simple: 
1. Make op plan, on/off periods, etc. 
2. Begin fully rested
3. Operate maximum hours 
4. Maintain maximum run rate

Post results and observations:
1. Op plan worked well
2. Began rested, despite Murphy fire drill 
3. Managed 22 hrs of op time
4. Need more than 500 watts
5. Need 2 elements on 40
6. Need 3-4 elements on 15/10
7. Seek advice from a seasoned AOCC contest coach

HF Remote: K3 Twins, KPA-500, HEX Beam @ 65 ft. 
           80 meter sloper, 40 meter V
