Comments:

Thinking of bringing portable gear on an upcoming trip and tested the equip I
expect to use. Battery power and 50 watts using a MFJ portable window antenna
mounted to my deck. SWR about 2:1 on 40 and 3:1 on 20.  Didn't spend much time
trying to tweak the coil settings. Worked well enough that I'll lug the stuff
along and try at least 1 CWT and maybe activate a POTA park.
