Comments:

Good fun and a couple real surprises...

Spent a goodly time S&P, looking for states and provinces...and of course
DX.

Pre-contest spent a couple sunrises looking for K1ZM operating JT5DX and had no
luck finding him.  He was one who got away last year during the contest, and was
hoping to land elusive zone 23 this year.

As luck would have it, after listening to his frequency for a couple early hours
he started to come out of the noise enough to call.....and landed him at 7:30
local time.  Got to say, that JT has always been the symbol of EXOTIC DX for me,
and no doubt others, especially to those of us who were smitten by the
"other side of the earth" concept, seeing those great diamond shaped,
and triangular TANA TUVA stamps as kids...  pure ESSENCE OF DX !!

Floated on that good feeling for the rest of time spent on the band.
The other big surprise was being able to work RL3A at 5:15pm in dusk.
First time ever working Zone 16 in a 160 Contest.

Fun fun fun...  this contest is really great way to spend radio hours in the
winter, with your 1000 closest friends.
