Comments:

Solar storm, coronal mass ejection and the worst conditions in my 6.5 years QRV
from PJ4. Almost every QSO was a struggle. On top of that a tropical storm
passed over Bonaire a few hours into the contest which looks like it will
develop into a hurricane further north of here. Fortunately all the antennas
stayed up but the QRN level on 80m made that band unworkable. No Es on 10m here
either. The IOTA contest remains a very Eurocentric contest with very little
contest activity from NA / SA / OC - pity. Rig: IC-7300 and Acom 1500 amp at 1kW
to Spiderbeam on 10-15-20m, inv-V dipole at 50ft on 40m, quarter-wave verticals
