Comments:
A fun contest, with very serious competition here in the southwest. Thanks to
NO6T (KI6RRN) and ND7K (N6MJ) for keeping me in the game. Great scores from
places even more geographically challenged than SW New Mexico. And congrats to
Dave, K5GN (NU5A) on the great west-of-the-Mississippi score.
Have been battling some interstation interference issues here for a while, and
still haven't fully solved them. The only remaining issue was 40 trashing 20,
when the 40 meter beam is pointed NE or E. Clean when pointed NW. So, when doing
2BSIQ, the drill was to stop sending on 40 when trying to copy a QSO on 20.
Despite the low point value, I really enjoyed the great Es opening on 10 and 15
Sunday morning. A nice adrenaline rush ! European condx were nothing to get
excited about. My best EU hour all weekend was 50 QSO's.
Had a huge number of dupes - 132 ! Why ? Will have to wait for the public logs
to see what was logged by the other station each time they "worked"
me. I signed my call with each QSO. I see now that I was spotted as WK6T once -
maybe that had something to do with it.
