Club: Mad River Radio Club

Comments:

Hadn't operated in the "Field" since 2016 (been doing 1E since).  Now
retired, so decided to operate 1B - 1 operator.  Had a blast.  Strung up wires
in the trees at our family cabin by Lake Erie.  Things seemed to work well.  I
held up better than expected, but had to take a couple of naps.  All of the 1D
stations made 20 meters (and the other bands) outstanding.  Got generator going
(last used in 2016) a couple days before FD, but then at cabin it stopped
running just a couple hours before start.  It took quite a while but got it
started again and then it ran ok the rest of the way, phew!
