Comments:

Score includes 250 bonus points (emergency power, natural power, and web
submission). I was hammered by too many other demands this week and through the
weekend, so I only had about an hour to set up, operate, and tear down. I went
to what will hopefully soon be my new QTH in the middle of 32 acres atop a nice
wooded hill. I threw up a scrappy 40m dipole, plugged my MFJ-9040 QRP
transceiver into my battery and sent in the open forest with a straight key.
Many of you used N1MM plus for logging. I logged using K3PP minus - pen and
paper! This is as bare-bones as one can get for FD! I wish I had more time to
play, but I was thrilled to get in even a little of this raw form of FD! By next
year, I hope to have the house and new towers up, but I may still reenact this
rough form of FD elsewhere on my hilltop next year - just with a more serious
time commitment and more skeeter bites commensurate with the extended exposure
to the EPA woods!
