I'd like to thank everyone who attended the SCQP this year! Thank you Columbia
Amateur Radio Club - W4CAE and the Swamp Fox Contest Group - WW4SF for making
this party lots of fun this year! Thanks to our mobile ops who keep the party
going and those ops who operated from those rare counties. Of course thanks to
our out of state friends who made all of us SC ops feel like DX for a change. It
looks like the "mode of the day" this year was "Phone".

I had a blast operating as an unrestricted single-op. This was the first year in
a long time, that I didn't "RUN" for the entire contest. I enjoyed
running Up to to 10m when I saw Matt, NU4E spotted there. I made contacts on all
the bands except 6m. I was basically using my tuner as my 160m antenna for my 5
top band contacts. It's nice to have an 80m antenna so that I could actually run
for a while on phone and cw. Many of my fellow Swamp Fox ops accounted for over
4000+ Qs.
 
My best rate for a minute was 240 Q/hr, my best 10 minutes was 138 Q/hr and my
best hour was 77 Q/hr.

It was great to work many contesting friends and it was especially interesting
to work my CW friends on Phone.

During the last hour of the contest, I was flying on 80m then my logging sw
decided that it was tired and it randomly closed on my several times. Conditions
on 80m were very good. I'm not going to comment on the other bands. It's been a
great Carolina Weekend. Now to start reviewing the 200+ logs.
