Comments:

Playing with a few portable antennas on the balcony, Hamsticks, Elecraft AX1,
33ft feed of wire end fed with a 9:1 Unun, and also the same wire connected
directly to my KX2 using a banana plug.  The AX1 I think did the best job, no
doubt I could hear many of the loud stations in Europe but I spent a lot of time
attempting to get them to hear me and with compromise antennas and low power it
was not successful.  Maybe would have a few more if I was more persistent.  

Thank you to those who did pull me out of the noise, easiest contact with XE2X 
just across the South Texas Border on 80 meters, that was with my wire fed
directly to the antenna, the KX2 tuner was very impressive. 

I will be back in South Texas on the 4BTV and running 100 watts for CQWPX SSB.
