Nice job by Dave K1ZZ.  His score is 56 points higher- that's less than 2 QSOs! 
It may come down to the log submittals!

Got off to a slow start on 40M.  I was surprised that 40M was open to Europe at
the start, but with the Europeans all working each other it was a struggle. 
Only antenna was a 4-square on 40M- good to open the band but not so good when
the angle goes high.  80M, using another 4-square, is always fun, but for some
reason I couldn't get the antenna system to take more than 900 watts or so- get
higher than that and the amplifier would shut down.  Finished with 4 contacts
over 8400km.
