Comments:

I'm teaching all online at Hesston College this year and find that all that
screen time requires weekends to recuperate. I knew early on that I wouldn't be
full time this year, so I decided to have some fun and went for a quick Sweep. I
found an easy PR early on, then VI a few kHz down the band. About half-way
through the VI contact, they suddenly quit sending and went silent. I hung
around awhile but no luck. Not so easy after all!

My usual hard-to-get sections are NT and NE. I found a faint VY1CO with few
callers and a low number and worked him. I went to 80m early to pick up the
close-in states. Conditions were favorable and the rest just fell into place. My
last five were NNY (calling CQ on 160!), AL (really?), NE, NL and DE (NG3R) with
the sweep at 0617Z, a personal best for me on CW. VY2ZM did a great job putting
out the new 84th PE section.

It looks like I doubled up on all but NT (heard but didn't work another one),
ONN, PE and VI. I heard all of the sections on again on Sunday except ONN. The
rest of the time I just enjoyed operating and taking lots of breaks and two
walks. I definitely felt guilty not being so tired, but I should make it through
another week teaching as a result!

School stations worked: W2UB, K7UAZ and W9JWC.

Conditions this year make it impossible to safely field a student team for SSB
Sweeps, our first miss since 2009. I'm giving the team members the Clean Sweep
mugs they all earned last year on Sweeps weekend to at least remind them of the
fun. We'll keep our fingers crossed for 2021.

The log has been uploaded to LOTW. Thanks for the fun!
