Comments:

Good fun, with the Classic category format perfectly matching my weekend
commitments.

Slightly lower score from last year, more QSOs though, but fewer multipliers.
First QSOs ever from here on 10 meters. 160 was/is a total disaster with the
levels of local QRM being so high that even the loudest stations in the
"neighborhood", like UA9s, UA6s, UA4s, URs, were barely, if at all,
audible this season. I have 3 RX systems and they just can't cope with the local
interference any longer. I also missed many multipliers on 20 with much less
activity than last year. It seems we all enjoyed 10 and 15, which are finally
showing some life.

The cluster pileups were plain and simple - rowdy! Nothing new, of course, and
I'm not complaining about all the callers, not at all. However, simply clicking
on the spot brings everybody to a single frequency, and that combined with the
well-known (un)discipline of EU callers, makes it really difficult to maintain
decent rates. Picking a letter or two out of that mess is an effort, let alone
the whole call-sign. Only in this part of the world one realizes how comfortable
and effortless it is running an orderly US/NA pileup from the Carribeans. Boy, I
miss PJ4! However, there are some smart guys out there who understand the game
and call either a few Hz lower or higher and get through easily, despite not
being the strongest ones. Something to learn from the small pistols - and that
mostly goes for the big European Multi-Op powerhouses!

73 and thank you all for another great CQWW weekend!
