Comments:

Good 1300Z USA-conditions were due to a full house of 
K = 0 and B-class X-rays, which has already subsided. 

After CWT I did an overhaul of the antenna feed and 
cleaned the home-brew tuner cap insulation, so back 
to full power again. Tested it all in the Wed 40/80m  
minitests at 1700/1800Z, then continued CWT on 80m 
for the first 10 Q's. Checked 20 m and heard UY1HY 
and VE3EJ very weak, then took 7 MHz as a project.  

With the K = 0, signals are weak outside the skip zone 
and the 7 MHz director seems to work as I heard several  
USA stations despite the heavy industrial QRN (24/7)....
