Comments:

I operated a bit Saturday evening. I just have my "summer" 160m
antenna at the moment and it's quite poor compared to my full-size wire
vertical. It was impossible to work any DX with 5w and the short vertical. The
better antenna won't go up for another 2 weeks at least. No choice but to
operate QRP since an antique mica capacitor went bad in the matching network and
it arcs with 100 watts or above. It's a novel method for enforcing a power
limit.
