Comments:
Thanks again to Frank Donovan, W3LPL, for loaning me his fine station. I worked
an impressive number of stations sending serial number one or who weren't in the
contest. The usual really slow hours on 20 meters Sunday afternoon didn't occur
until about 2100Z - that was nice.
I never heard any trace of Europe on 15 meters. A few times, I heard PYs and
other South American stations running Europe but couldn't hear the stations
calling them. I miss 15 meters.
It's impressive to send QTCs to many of the European operators. They do an
amazing job getting all the information - some were taking QTCs just about as
fast as I could talk! Lots and lots of stations were very weak and there was a
lot of QSB over the weekend, but everyone was patient with the many repeats and
the "is your call xxxx" questions needed to complete some of the
QSOs.
Congratulations to KC1XX for a great score!
I had a 3I station call me on 20. That was fun - I had to look on the screen to
see what the country was. It didn't give me any points but I don't work too
many BYs from the East Coast in SSB!
