An exercise in humility. I had several occasions when I found a new multiplier
CQ-ing before it was spotted which is the only way I can work them (e.g., 5Z4VJ
and 3V8SS on 15); I called and called, and called. To no avail. Then somebody
puts out a spot and power and yagis arrive and my (already slim) chance faints
away...

As usual, it's the emptiness of a giant arctic ice floe out there... when you
are running low power to a vertical.
