Well that was interesting. 
I headed a bit last minute to the campsite in North Devon run by Duncan, owner
of the shortwave shop. Duncan was very helpful and just laughed as my 40m phased
verticals with elevated radials took over his campsite. Lots of funny looks from
the posh people in their camper vans (luxury) i was under canvas. 
Thanks to the sun for messing with the propagation on Saturday afternoon but at
least it recovered Sunday afternoon. Nice to work VK5ARG but no JA at all. Every
year I learn something new and this year it was definitely bring a heater.
A huge thanks to my good lady who loses me for 5 days to antenna building and
contesting and for keeping me motivated.
