Comments:

I always like this contest: a CW contest which isn't the fourth weekend in a row
where there was a major contest, a CW contest that allows for ample family time,
and a CW contest that is not on a holiday weekend.

Made several improvements to the station since ARRL 160 including a new receive
pennant array and an additional 8 radials (now 16) for the inverted L. My
neighbor was a missionary who made use of ham radio when he was overseas, and he
gladly let me lay some radials out on his lot - provided I spooled them back up
after the contest.

Conditions domestically were quite good with W6s and most W7s louder than in
ARRL 160. My first hour was 148 which isn’t too shabby. EU was very spotty on
Friday night and really, really good as the grey line crossed the Continent.
Finished up packet spot clicking every G/GW/EI/EA I could find as sunrise
arrived on the far edge of Europe.

The score is a personal best from the home QTH in CQ160 and may represent the
most contacts made from the home QTH in any CW contest.
