Comments:

K3CCR is the club station at the Collington continuing-care 
retirement community at FM 18OW in MD, just east of DC. N3UM and 
W3GB did Multi-Op HP in the 2021 CQ 160 CW. 

We could only dream of beating our 305-K 2020 claim, with 57% of 
our Q points from 159 10-pt. DX Qs due to super condx. So, our 
goal was to beat our 2nd-best 236-K 2018 claim, with 32% of Q pts 
from 70 10-pt. Qs. We didn’t quite do that, but came close; 68 
10-pt Qs and fewer DX mults, to claim 193.6 K. 

At start 22-02Z, N3UM ran at the Orion for 356 Qs, 821 Q pts, and 
38 St/Pv mults plus UA2, EI, and CM. 

After 02Z the K3S worked poorly for W3GB, but he got 111 Q pts and 
6 more mults before QRT. Sat. PM, a bad knob setting was found and 
fixed, and the K3S was fine again. W3GB used it and clicked spots 
2139-2350Z to get 163 VE/K/NA Q pts and the DE mult. With hard dark 
came loud DX, mostly EUs; in 2.1 hrs 2352-0156Z, W3GB got 22 10-pt 
Qs, 273 Q pts, SD, NM, CA, and 23 cty mults. At 0156Z QRT he had 
26 ctys, 68% of our final 38, with just 23% of our Qs. 

Then 02-04Z N3UM got 8 10-pt Qs, all EUs, 3 of them mults; 149 
Q pts; plus OR, UT, SK, MT, BC, & WA. From 04-05Z he got no 10-pt 
Qs, but ran for 146 VE/K/NA Q pts. Then 05-06Z he got 7 10-pt.Qs 
(YV, EA8, 5 EU), 3 cty mults, and 157 Q pts. An exciting end 
06-07Z; 282 Q pts, our best hr; 27 EU Qs out of 30 total; 3 cty 
mults, and NS. Many EUs were S-7+. But then, EU sunrise; 2 weak 
EUs 0701 & 0702Z, game over. Our final totals were 28 EU mults, 
63 EU Qs & 68 10-pt Qs. We missed ID, ND, NE, WY, and 6 VEs.
