Comments:
Made the first 50-60 Q's 100% S&P with 42watts but was too frustrating, so
made the 2nd batch of Q's with 10-x the power.(about 420watts or so). Much
easier going.
Of all the modes I operate, this is my least favorite. Part of that has to be
my radios...doing AFSK and filtering available on my radio in this mode sucks !
(lotsa QRM)
I ran the last hour (60 Q's) and I swear 50-60% of the guys calling me sent
"VE9AA de <theircall>"...I know my own call...no need to send it
when calling me when I am running. This wouldn't happen on CW and SSB, so I
guess that's part of my frustration too. Hey, I am not perfect but this just
seems weird. I am not talking about when you get sending exchanges back and
forth. I am talking about I am calling CQ and this is how callers are replying
to my CQ's.
Still, for the time I was on, things most went (weirdly) well.
Tnx for all the cobbled together clunky Q's!
CU (all of a sudden) in the next one.
