Comments:

The SO2R aspect of RTTY adds lot of fun to contest. Enjoyed trying to make it
work. Wife presented me with fully assembled and tested 5B4AGN six band filter
setup for Christmas. with built in band decoder and drivers for 2x6, was great
addition. In December, dismantled the station, which was setup for Top and
Lower radio mounted one over other and switched to left/right setup. Didn't
have time to get 2x6 switch installed and right radio had 40/15/10 with good
amp. With station and antenna work, didn't test new PRC tubes installed in left
side amp. Tubes and amp did not get along and this would mean near LP on 80/20
with left radio.
Then ten not opening and 15 was poor at best from WTX....
Multipliers didn't seem to rack up like prior years.

Dec saw W6NL 40Meter yagi go up, which gave me encouragement that a WTX record
was within reach but poor 15/10 and amp failure cut that short. Not mentioning
time in chair was bit off 24hrs, not hearing alarm clock on long break. Was fun
to get good SO2R going from home station and enjoy the ARRL RTTY. RTTY Only
scoring is great for this weekend. On 40, that's the second highest ever posted
WTX 40M QSO total, only topped by Rich's 4EL at 130ft. Having several EU
stations answer CQs on 40, made that antenna work worth a smile!
