Comments:

K3CCR is the club station at the Collington continuing-care 
retirement community at FM 18OW in MD, just east of DC. N3UM and 
W3GB operated Multi-2 in Jan. 2021 NAQP SSB. 

We heard Fri. 1/15 that an outside medical team would come here 
and give us Covid vaccine shots 1/17 and 1/18. Great news! And, 
after NAQP! 

Then ~noon ET Sat. the med team made an abrupt change; N3UM and 
44 neighbors would get shots 1315-14 ET, a claimed 60/hr rate. He 
rushed down with his wife, was 12th in line at 1305 ET, and got his 
shot ~2.3 hrs later! A mess. Promised start time and rate were 
just hopes, dashed. 

W3GB and his neighbors got shots Sun, so he made 301 20-M Qs 18-23Z. 
After a required wait and rush to the shack, N3UM got on 40 M at 
2140Z and made 59 Qs in 49 min, then broke for chores and to eat. 

At 22Z, we had 179 fewer Qs than in 2020 due to no op on 40 M for 
the first 3.6 hrs. A challenge to catch up. We ran for 98% of total 
Qs; a very few S&P, no spots. W3GB got 96 40-M Qs in 1.2 hr. after 
23 Z and broke to eat. Back from break at 0039Z, N3UM got 202 40-M 
Qs in 2.2 hrs, 107 in the 01Z hr, then all our 114 160-M Qs, and a 
last 49 Qs on 40 M by QRT. Back from break W3GB got all our 266 
80-M Qs in 3.6 hrs. by QRT. 

We came back from 215 Qs down from 2020 at 01Z, to 17 more at 
QRT. We made up the 40-M deficit with 25 Qs to spare, and got 
more Qs this year on every band BUT 80 M, where we got 92 fewer 
Qs and 8 fewer mults. It was right to stay on 40 M for the very 
high rates due to postponed Qs, but the cost was a 2.7-hr later 
start on 80. With 80-M Q and mult totals equal to last year, we 
would have claimed a 7% higher score instead of 6% lower. 

It is clear that as a Multi-2 with ~current SFI, we should be 
on 20 and 40 M ~18-23Z, then 40 and 80 M ~23-03Z, then 80 and 
160 M ~03-06Z.
