Comments:

The band was not strong from northwest NA -- regional contacts only and nothing
beyond CO from here. Inverted-L is very compromised, with far end of horizontal
section needed re-raising as it currently slopes 45 degrees from the top of the
vertical section.

Field-testing a very simple loop on ground and it worked out pretty well with
some Qs not possible when listening on the inverted-L. The loop really hits its
signal-to-noise stride on 80M. Will keep tweaking it for 160M improvement. Once
winter wx subsides, there's a lot of antenna work to do, so for now a simple
loop laid down on the back lawn before four inches of snow fell is perfect to
putter around with.
