Comments:

I don't live in Canada, so I still had to work today but took a radio break in
between some of my meetings. 

For this contest, I tried a two-element parasitic array made from two MFJ-1979
telescoping verticals with one elevated tuned radial each, pointing to the
north. Antenna modeling indicated I should expect about 2.5 to 3 dB improvement
over the single vertical. SWR was close to the prediction, but over-the-air S/N
didn't seem noticeably better, certainly not worth double the setup time and
effort.
