Comments:

K3CCR is the club station at the Collington continuing-care 
retirement community at FM 18OW in MD, just east of DC. In the 
2021 WPX CW, N3UM and W3GB operated Multi-2 HP. Both of us got 
the vaccine in Jan, so no plexiglas shield or masks this year. 

Our goal was to top our best claim of 2.51 M in 2020. We almost 
did that, but not quite; 2.39 M this year, 5% less. We both had 
non-ham obligations; ~1 to 2 more hrs BIC would have done it. 

Propagation was good, SFI 76, Kp ~2, low QRN after ~01Z. But, 
strong skip; DL, I, and UA  S9++, but G, F, and EI S3-S7. 

At 00Z start, N3UM got 129 40 M Qs by 02Z and quit to sleep. 
(We now see he shoulda gotten on 80 M till ~03Z.) W3GB got 
111 Qs by 0410Z QRT, 67 on 20 M and 44 on 40 M. At QRT we were 
419 Q pts and 115 mults behind our 2020 results. 

Sat. AM 11-1430Z N3UM ran for 31 of 138 Qs on 20 M, 96 of them 
3-pt EUs. He then got 15 Qs on 15M and quit to eat at 1510Z. 

W3GB 1615-2010Z got 38 Qs on 20 M and then 26 Qs on 15 M. N3UM 
1826-2040Z ran for 58 of 94 Qs on 20 M. Together 1615-2040Z we 
got 114 3-pt Qs and 94 mults. At 2040Z we had 1937 Q pts and 
415 mults, 57% and 59% of our final claims. 

>From 2315-0150Z W3GB got 38 Qs on 40 M and 9 on 20 M. From 
2350-0340Z N3UM got all 127 of our 80-M Qs, only 19 running. 
He then got 27 Qs on 40 M by 0420Z QRT. 

Sun. AM W3GB came in at 1120Z and in 7+ hrs. got 39 Qs on 20 M 
and 46 on 15 M by 1740Z, patient thru the slow Sun. afternoon. 
>From 1420-1520Z N3UM got 33 Qs on 20 M, and 67 more 1810-2030. 

In the last 3 hrs 21-24Z W3GB got 51 Qs on 20 M, and N3UM got 
40 Qs on 40 M. We were glad to get 3 more mults than in 2020, 
and to come within ~55 to 60 Qs of beating our 2020 score.
