Comments:
My the first completely High Power SO2R assisted contest ever.
The problem with ACOM 2000A, which had bothered me few years was solved. In
addition I also got second PA for Radio 2. Surprisingly, the interferences was
much weaker, thanks to coaxial cables and groundings improvements made last
autumn. And I have to mention new generation antenna rotator controller in
action, also for the first time in big contest.
Conditions were quite good, but only compared to last two - three years. 15m and
10m were a bit opened. 20m without any strong opening towards NA from my QTH.
After long time I had also JA opening and also few long paths to ZL and JA. 40m
was the main band, but also with few deaf periods. 80m of many valuable mults,
160m just to do few additional QSOs.
Cancelling of unassisted category and SO2R HP brought me the same number of
QSOs, compared to my WPX CW the best. But cca +25% of mults, which resulted to
cca +50% increasing of total result. Also preferation of 40m 2/6 points QSOs had
positive influence to it. I'll have to improve the assisted tactic, as well.
Thanks to all contesters!
