Comments:
Marginal conditions this weekend!
The top band (160m) was especially quiet. Only heard one station there the
entire weekend (N6RO). Extended CQ there only netted a response from a station
in a neighboring US state.
We stuck with it and slogged along. Had some good rates into Asia and Europe
for relatively short periods, but mostly it was just hard work.
As is typical, we did well on Qs for the first part of the contest, but were
down on mults. For a while, we could "hang" with the stations further
south and on the east coast. But that didn't last long! Pretty soon they hit
their European stride and we were left in the dust (more Qs, far less mults).
Eventually we fell behind on both counts.
The consistent refrain from the European stations we worked was "thank for
for the new mult" (WA) which infers there weren't very many NW USA stations
making it into Europe.
