Got started about 30 minutes late Saturday, then found that N1MM+ was crashing
on opening. Took a few minutes to sort that out (the Admin database was
corrupted, but I was able to use a backup).
Nice to find 15 somewhat open. I spent about 30 minutes on 15, then about an
hour and a half on 20, which was full from 14001 all the way up to 14070. Went
to 40 for an hour, the spent the evening mostly on 80 up to almost 0700Z.
Actually got in a couple of runs late Saturday night on 80.
Unfortunately, I managed to miss Sunday afternoon, which hurt my opportunities
to fill in multipliers (I ended up completing call areas 1,2,3,4, 8, and 9; 0
was missing NE, 5 was missing LA, 6 was missing PAC, 7 was missing AK, EWA and
WY, and Canada was missing MB, NL, NT, ONN, PE AND QC). Got back on about 2240,
hit 20 for a half hour, 40 for an hour and a half, and spent the rest of the
night on 80. I managed to get in a nice run (for BBM values of nice) on 80 for
a little over an hour, which probably explains why 80 ended up being the money
band for this contest.
But despite being effectively half-time, this is a new record for me for SS CW.
