At close to the last minute on Friday I decided I'd try QRP Unlimited - a
category that has never been entered by anyone in NC - for the heck of it. We
had a sleepover birthday party for my son this weekend, so I knew I wouldn't be
able to do too serious of an effort. Saturday night I was feeling under the
weather and crashed and burned on the couch with less than 30 QSOs in the log.
Ouch.

I woke up Sunday morning feeling pretty discouraged, but I think I managed a
respectable result, all things considered. I generally felt relatively loud with
my 5W. I easily worked KL7, KH6, and others. However, I missed a whole lot of
RAC sections.

Good to work many friends old and new. Maybe next year I'll plan out a more
serious effort.
