Comments:

I've long enjoyed operating CW SS from multiple stations, which I was able to to
again this year, with a category trifecta - A power from the condo, Q power with
the KX3 as W3USA from the car at the waterfront, and B as K4OJ using K5KG's
second station while he (and earlier K9XV) did a multiop with the main station.
Those scores will be reported separately, but I'll tell a more complete story
here.

My daughter & family are in town for a vacation, so there was less free
radio time than might have been. They have rented a beach condo for part of the
time, including the weekend, when Grandma and Grandpa got the kids (age 3 &
9 months) overnight. So the operating time came in small pieces, which is not
all bad since I was often somewhat fresh meat when I got on. The little one had
a not so good night, causing sleep loss for both of us and an excuse for
sleeping instead of operating.

The condo antenna is a 80M OCF up 35 feet or so at the center. This is an
improvement over the G5RV I used at this time last year, and I am well pleased
how well it worked for being a well hidden (in trees) condo antenna.

I was pleasantly surprised to have VY1KX call in on 15 meters, a band where the
antenna has a 4:1 VSWR. But I don't think I ever heard or worked places like WV,
LA, WY, VE5, or PE from any of my stops. Heard but did not work places like KL7,
ID, UT. Other neat surprise was calling CQ on a dead sounding 10M and having
VE4VT call in for that multiplier.

>From all the operations I did very little S&P, other than in my last hour or
so from K8MR. So I may have missed some easy mults. Interesting that I overall
missed five of the top 20 SOHP guys reporting so far, but got a clean sweep
(several times) of the top 20 SOHP(U) folks.

Thanks for all the QSOs!

73 - Jim K8MR
