Comments:

I called "CQ TYP" many times on 40 and 20. Three of my 6 QSOs were
responses to those CQ's.  The other three QSO's were my replies to CQ's from
other stations.  I never heard station W2RCA, unfortunately.  Stations worked
were K4IBZ, K6KPH, K2BLA, N7RD, WW1USA on both 40 and 20.  I was operating with
an Elecraft KX3 QRP transceiver and the companion PX3 band scope.  My antenna
was a sloping 65 foot end fed.  The high end was only 15 above ground.  The low
end was about 8 feet above ground.  A poor antenna, indeed: hence the low
score!!  I enjoyed the centennial event very much as I am an enthusiastic
student of early radio history and especially of radio's early excursions into
the shorter wavelengths.  Edwin Howard Armstrong, an early member of the RCA who
was personally involved in 1BCG, is a hero of mine.
