Comments:

This year I was on a hunt for the SWEEP ......as the main attraction.

By Sunday mid-day had 80, with MAR NL ONN and SB(!) left to go.

a lucky scan across 15, just before the Seahawks game, yielded Maritime and NL
just a few khz apart and CQing !  Cool... 2 to go.

By midway into the 3rd Quarter, and the Hawks not doing well, while running
into
the shack during commercials, I was able to find VE3RX holding court with many
callers on 7130, with a couple hours yet to go  til sunset.  He was loud enough
but seemed to be working one skip guys right and left, and 150w from this coast
just wasnt making it...  finally as the game ended (not so well) and the sun got
closer to setting, I got lucky and landed him for nr 84.

That left Santa Barbara, so settled down on a nice spot on 20, turned the
antenna to CA, and started soliciting for a SB caller. Had a nice run of folks,
and finally got a call from a W6 who WASN'T really in the contest, but really
WAS in SB !   YEAH

Followed that up with W6TK, later, on 40 who also was in SB and indeed WAS IN
the contest.

Had a couple of fine mini-ragchews with a few pals ... and the most fun
these days in Sweeps is saying howdy to old friends every year while chasing the
Sweep.

Finally, we have to congratulate those folks that can go full time, and keep at
it thru the Sunday doldrums.  Commendable operating!!
