Another FB CQWW CW.
Got an new amp just a couple of days before the contest - a FLEX Power Genius
XL. Once I got past a boneheaded set up error (thanks to K5TR to help solve the
issue), got everything going and totally interfaced with the FLEX 6600 and the
auto antenna switching Thursday evening. What a slick arrangement! Worked
flawlessly the whole weekend.
Was going to try to get the 6 el 15M yagi up at 90' Thanksgiving morning, but
the wind did not cooperate, so only had the Force 12 C19XR tribander at 100' for
20-15-10, and a E/W 20M dipole as a second antenna for 20M so limited SO2R on
those bands. Was very busy on the rotator. Look forward to getting the
monobanders up after losing all in the ice storm last February. Seem it is
harder to get work done at age 66 than it was at age 36! Had to take 3 short
naps and several short breaks. My hat is off to all you animals who can go full
bore for 48 hours.
The bands (except 10M) were in great shape. 10M was very spotty and only
worked EA, CT and F in EU.
Great to see some expeditions - really helps!! Still some pretty messy
pileups, but that is all part of the game. There are some huge scores out there
- congrats to all on their efforts and thanks to all those folks who traveled to
put on the juicy multipliers!
Thanks to all for the QSOs.

NC7J apparently lost the skimmer feed.
