Comments:

40m was not acting its normal self - there were plenty of spots received in
Ohio, but few were more than 10-15 db above the noise.  I tried to make some 40m
QSOs, but it quickly became apparent that 40 was closed for business.  Luckily,
80m was there to take up the slack.
