Comments:

Clearly Autumn conditions. During the Minitest 40 
(Wednesdays 1700Z-1800Z) 7 MHz already started to 
close to nearby areas. In CWT the skip was long, but 
signal levels were quite good. Checked 14 MHz several 
times: alas, not a single ripple in the ionosphere to 
help out. Left the band change to 3.5 MHz till 1948Z 
and spent the last 2 minutes on 1.8 MHz, where SM6M 
was heard, but no time left to match my short sloper.
