Club: Society of Midwest Contesters

Comments:

Spent the beginning of the contest troubleshooting the QRZ page as I wanted to
have that operational.  I didn't want to miss any QSOs from those that check QRZ
to see if it was valid call.  Built the page 3 hours after the contest started. 
That probably kept me from reaching my 500Q goal.  Had a few people not
expecting a 1x1 when I was doing S&P.   

All contacts made with wires which I re-strung this week.  The low bands were
very quiet for most of the evening except late in the contest when it started
raining locally.  I see I need to get beverages for 160 as I struggled on
several calls there as my noise level was S7. Goal was to try and pickup a few
mults on 160 which helped the score.  10 and 15 were dead with my antennas so
nothing on the high bands.  Picked up a few on 20 but no nearly as many as I
would have expected.  My apologies for those I struggled with due to local noise
and my very modest antenna farm.  All in all I improved on my previous year
score.
