Comments:

Spent the first 2 hours trying to figure out why my signal was cutting in and
out.  
First thought is was the mic gain pot on the ft 736. Took it apart and sprayed
the pots. 
Put everything back together and still had the problem.  Thought it was the 100
watt brick amp and by passed that but still had issues. 
Next moved everything to the TS-2000 and still had the problem.  Turned out the
mic cable on the heil headset went bad.  One to many pulls on the cord.  Cut the
end off and spliced a new connector on and problem solved. 
So much for the first two hours.  Then had to leave at Noon on Sunday.  All
things considered it was fun.  FM activity was way down from the last couple of
contest.  The up side was FT8 on 6 meters was okay.  
No great grids but enough to help on the multipliers.  Also lite on rovers this
year.  Did hear a number of stations with hand held radios at elevation but not
many formal rovers.  Also the rovers don’t publish their times, location ahead
of time.  Did work a couple of 1296 contact off of Rainer and that was good.
