Comments:

I put in a lot more time than I had intended, because it was fun! I should have
paid more attention to multipliers, even at the expense of some rate. It didn't
even occur to me to seek state multipliers on 10 because in my mind that whole
band was an afterthought. When I get sleep deprived, I don't think straight.

I kept running across fellow AOCC Outlaw KO7SS on Sunday in little pileup
competitions. He seemed to beat me almost every time. I guess his terrain
advantage really pays off. On Sunday afternoon, it occurred to me that I could
go into the live scoreboard and see how he was doing. Our scores were very close
at that time, so I started reporting my score too for the last few hours so we
could both see how it was shaping up.

The RF background noise situation in the neighborhood is steadily deteriorating.
The latest issue is the proliferation of solar rooftops, which has brought up
the general background on 15 and 10 to about S5 (in AM mode). There is also a
long-standing 80 Meter noise issue, for which I think I have found the source,
and the utility RFI investigator has confirmed it and written the work order,
but the local crew did not get around to replacing the bad lightning arrester in
time for this event. Hopefully they will get it before the next major contest.

Thanks for all the QSO's, and see you in the next contest!
