Comments:

Multi-op Single-Transmitter with 4 ops remote from the K6MTU station on
Mt Umunhum above Los Gatos, CA. The radios and antennas all working,
and we could hear far and wide, but low band conditions were poor, so
it was 10 and 15m QSOs that got us above last year's score - Hooray!

A starting problem was the first 50 Qs had the wrong callsign in some
of the messages, since op was using his logger with a different callsign.
We unclaimed those Qs and operated an extra 1.5 hours at the end to make
up our full 24 hrs. For a change, the last hours seem to have better rate
than the first hours!

We used the 2nd Ack 73 a lot, to reduce NILs, but it also reduces rate.
Some rain static late Saturday afternoon made us deaf during some prime
40m time. 80m not very good in late evening or early morning. 40m better
but not stellar. 20m and 15m good both days, and a good 10m opening to
NA and then JA on Sunday afternoon. QSOs were 80% from North America,
ollowed by 13% Asia. Don't ask about Europe...

We used FT4 whenever we could (strong signals, people there) used the
"Contest" FT8 all the rest, and only a few slips into the
"Regular" FT8
segments for Rare Mults - but it takes lots of work to get a proper exchange.
Activity in the "Regular" FT8 segments far exceeds the
"Contest" activity,
so more publicity is needed, or maybe FT8 contesting is just not attractive
to the average Joe.

The Single-Op SO2R guys had the advantage of SO2R, for lots of QSOs, while
we could only use one radio (6 band changes per hour).

A fun event, and we came back from early problems to finish with a higher
score - Satisfying!
