Comments:

Well, another ru in the books. I will go on record in joining with a number of
my fellow contesters that the FT modes should be removed from this contest. the
excess of categories is confusing, the ft modes detract from the rtty spirit of
this test. let the ft ru be their roundup. </Rant>

Thanks to Ken and the entire RO team who allow me to take full control of the
N6RO superstation, and convert my bench to a full SO4R capable rtty power
house.

Did my homework and had the station all setup with 2 computers, 1 maestro to
drive the 6600-M on the other side fo shack, and of course my trusty 6600-M.
flex software performed well for most of contest, had a lockup but was able to
recover.

my objective opinion of band conditions-
40m was not as good as it could be, but it wasnt a bust either was not able to
work as much EU as we want from the West. 80 was remarkably good from here
domestic, but not alot of EU there for us out west..

20 was our workhorse but top 20 beam was stuck, managed to get it fixed on eu
for duration. so was limited to 1 beam on JA. (it did just fine). most EU mults
I was able to work were made here.

15 meters was ok as well, some EU and interesting bonus mult calls (thanks VP8NO
for being a mainstay in this regard). N6RO 15 stack amazing performance as
usual.

10 meters. Well.. thanks for getting on most of you on sunday.. but what the
heck, the band was open all day Saturday according to the rbn as I interleaved
cqs on the as the 3rd band! glad to get a few of you Sunday though.. lets be
there for it next time..

Overall I had a great time with my annual SO from Radio Oakley. Thanks again to
Ken for his wisdom, hospitality and pizza. and thanks to the RO team for
allowing me to solo this one.

Congrats to my friend and fellow flexer Craig K9CT for a star performance and
motivation.. also a shout out to paul W7IV and his KK6P station for a great
performance as well as Jeff who always clobbers it from the Comstock memorial
station.

I had a great time. 73 and seeya next time
