Ran 5 watts from a tired TS-850 to a low inverted L consisting of rain gutter
with an extension wire to a tree. Got on late Saturday evening after work. Band
noisy, but California and Ontario stations were loud. Only DX heard was V31XX,
but did not copy me. Nice to catch up with VHF ops like W5ZN and N5RZ.
