Club: Northern California Contest Club

Comments:

Doing fine until 0337Z when a complete power  shutdown occurred, essentially
ending the contest with 8 1/2 hours remaining. PG&E, our power company, said
likely off time was 4 hours, but this info was immediately retracted due their
protocols: restart of power must be in daylight hours and air support is
required to assure no fires break out. Helicopters actually fly onto our
property at the time of re-start.    

Interesting DX worked:  C37AC in Andorra on 20m and 7Q5RU on 15m (zone 53). The
Malawi station was weak and there was a massive E Coast pile up. Only other West
Coast I heard contacting him was K6AW. 

 The JA's did not seem to hold off following the tragic shooting of their former
prime minister on Thursday night.
