I have no idea what the -8 -24 category means. I can't find anything about it in
the rules.

Operated mostly 50-75W to 40/20/15 fan dipole.

The contest was pretty chaotic.  In the beginning, there were non-contesters in
the mix.  Dupes abound--either due to my fault or the way people interpreted the
 completion of the QSO.  Likewise, I'm sure there will be beaucoup NILs as
well.

Glad I tried it but, I think I will stick to CW in the future.
