Comments:

I'm still rebuilding my station after a fire that wiped out my low band antennas
about five months ago. Because the radials of my 80m vertical were toast, I
decided to get three additional verticals and put up a four-square array
instead. Despite working all Friday on adding as many radials as I could, I
still only managed to install about 50% of all planned radials. However, the
array played well enough to be used in the contest, and I also got the 160m
Inverted L going again, even though it too is still missing some radials. Long
story short, I felt ready (enough) for a all-band full-time effort, which was
exciting news after the pretty frustrating fire incident.
I managed to get in the chair three minutes before the contest started and
things worked out pretty well. Unfortunately, after about four hours, one of my
amplifiers crapped out and it took me about an hour to get the second station
going again, running only 800W for the rest of the time. This event put a little
damper on my enthusiasm and I ended up taking longer breaks than I had initially
planned.
It was fun to find 10m being as open as it was and I spent a decent amount of
time on that band. Needless to say, 15m was very active too, and 20m seemed to
be just a transit band for many. As usual, 40m was wall-to-wall, but I also
enjoyed the already increased performance of my 80m setup. The only band I was a
little disappointed of was 160m, I was under the impression that it was busier
last year.

The result is almost equal to last year's score, only lagging 100k behind.
Considering that I did not run full legal limit on one side and spent 2.5 hours
less than last year, I am quite happy with the result.

Thanks everyone!
Wolf, NN7CW
